Here I am singing one of my new songs.
Today I wanted to shoot the live version of the "Butterfly Butterfly" song I wrote last week. I grab my gear and headed for a grassy field. In a car near the field were two folks eating ice cream. Kind of weird to have two people eat ice cream inside their car near a grassy field, but oh well. The looks on their faces told me what they were thinking as I walked by them, "What's this guy doing?"
A few minutes later I have my camcorder up and I'm singing the "Butterfly Butterfly" song about ten feet in front of them. Something got into my throat and I coughed during the first take, so I sang it again. After it was clear I was finished with the take, they drove off. They both had a big confused smile on their faces as I smiled at them driving off. What a story they now have to tell their friends.
They missed me 'flying' around the field. However some other folks walking near by got to see that. I'm sure they will tell their grandkids about seeing that one day. It's good to have stories to tell the grandkids.
One time, my granny told me about seeing Bonnie and Clyde drive up near them in a convertible....
I hope you like the live version of "Butterfly Butterfly".
