Everything Is Gone

 Everything Is Gone

Say one day, you wake up, and everything you have is gone. No computer, no cell phone, no car, no chair, no bed, no TV, no lights, etc., it is all gone. There is probably one object you will miss more than everything else.  But, it does not matter because everything that material, is gone.

Walking around your house without clutter will be a unique experience for many. Not having to worry about fixing or throwing away objects in your house will, over time, become the norm. Sitting in an empty room, free of materialism, your time could be spent creating art or working on problems that make the world a better place. The possibilities are endless once everything is gone.

Think of all the money you will have because you have nothing to buy. Only the basic necessities will be available, so your monthly expenses will drop. That would mean you could work fewer hours because you do not have to purchase anything other than what keeps you alive.

As the decades pass without materials in your life, at some point you will forget ever having so many objects. Without the materials that surround you now, think of the possibilities of never having to worry about keeping up with your neighbors. Instead, you could focus on working on yourself, striving to become a better human being as you mature.

Then, let us say that all of a sudden one day all the materials are back in the world for you to purchase. It would be interesting to see how many would return to their prior lives versus the ones who are content without materials. Since this will not happen, it is up to you to decide what is important in your life to keep and what to discard.
