Your Life Or Is It?
Your whole life, you want to be able to do the things you want to do. When you are a little kid, and you do not get your way, you pout and cry. As you grow older, you realize that society does not function this way. So, you figure out strategies to achieve your goals and dreams. However, under stressful situations, you may return to childish behavior to get what you want.
Finally, you become an adult, and you are able to do whatever you want to do with your life. Then something happens, and you realize that life is harder than you thought. Even if you work hard, have the right credentials, and do everything you are supposed to do to become successful, success does not always appear. Those who get frustrated may give up. Those who want to achieve their dreams buckle down and work even harder.
Life may seem like it belongs completely to you, but in reality, many factors determine your success and the fulfillment of your dreams. When you look for a job, that job may not actually exist, or it may go to someone they already know. Is it fair? Probably not, but it is reality. Once you understand that life is not fair, you realize that you are the only one you can rely on to make your dreams come true.
No one owes you anything. Once you realize that you are the one who has to take ownership of whatever you want to accomplish, life gets more predictable. There is freedom when you walk into a situation and know you can solve the problem in front of you. When you can solve problems as they come, take pleasure in knowing that you understand how to get through life.
If you feel like someone is controlling your life, then you need to do something about it. Gain the skills you need to finance the life you want. That may mean you need to travel, do a difficult job that pays well, or move to a location that is not as comfortable as your current one. Take solace in understanding that you are not alone. Many people have been in controlling situations and have become successful in their endeavors. They improved the quality of their lives. If you do not want to be at a certain place, work at a certain job, or have people tell you what to do, it is up to you to change your circumstances. It will be tough, but when you look back months and years later, you may realize it was worth it.
Life is wondrous, full of risk, full of excitement, full of success, and full of failure. When you are able to get up and return to life after a setback, you will eventually get to the place you want to be. Others have happiness in their lives, and so can you. So get out there, get busy, and improve your life. See the world, meet new people, learn new skills, and do not be afraid to pay to further your education if it will improve your lot in life. Sometimes reading a book, watching a video online, listening to a podcast, or talking to a knowledgeable person is all you need to give you the excitement to take risks and make a major change. Just imagine how your life will improve when you are willing to make difficult choices and work hard. Keep moving until you get to the place you want in your life.
