When You Smell The Weather

 When You Smell The Weather

When You Smell The Weather

Do you remember the first time you smelled a weather change? Most likely, it was about to rain, not a big shower, just enough to give the grass a nice drink. But you knew it was going to rain by smell. You knew this because you had prior knowledge the last time you smelled the rain.

In life, we may not have the prior knowledge to make a decision. Making the best decision possible is easy if you know the outcome, but we do not. We have to decide quickly and live with the results. It is not fair, but that is life.

We make the best decisions we can with the information we have readily available. It may be a good decision, or it could be a bad one. But we make them because we have no other choice.

Life would be easier if there were no difficult decisions. However, life is full of many decisions that affect your life and others. In the end, a choice is made, and hopefully, you will be fine regardless of the decision.

The higher your rank in business or politics, the more difficult decisions will be. As the number of people affected by your actions increases, so will the stress of those decisions. Being in a high position may seem appealing due to the increased income, but it also comes with the heavy cost of having to make difficult decisions. If you want to be in charge, then you have to be in charge.

Happily, most people do not have to make hard decisions for the masses, only you, your family, or your job. Hopefully, you have made many decisions so that you can solve them when the hard ones arrive. Like most things in life, the more you work at something, the better you are when it happens to you.

So before you criticize someone who has made a difficult decision, remember that they are doing their best with the current information. And if you want to make that difficult decision, you can work to make that happen. Then you will be in charge.
