You Think You Know Everything (You Do Not)

You Think You Know Everything (You Do Not)

Everyone thinks they are correct most of the time. Some are willing to stand corrected when they are in error. Many will never backtrack upon what they have said. Why is that? What makes us want never to correct something we said?

Perhaps, it is human nature. In the past, second-guessing yourself in life and death situations could prove fatal. Indecisive and the lack of doing something to improve your lot in life would mean you were left out.

Today this is not true. We have a wealth of information from the internet to learn from with a few keystrokes. Communication around the world is instantaneous. Anything that you care to learn is available at any time of the day.

So why not use these amazing tools. Researching today is easy. Information from all the different parts of the world provides an opportunity to learn from people that would have been impossible to learn from in the past. Just because these tools exist does not mean they are used. That is a shame because humanity appears at times to have less knowledge with all of this information.

Is there a point where there is too much knowledge available? Are there too many sources to draw information from? Can these sources on the internet be trusted? So many questions, if only the internet could help answer them.

A wise person is willing to learn. Learn from anyone and any place. Be wise in this information world. Remember to remain intelligent despite all this information. When you hear or read something, you know if it is too good to be true, so trust your gut. Read between the lines. Learn and share that knowledge with others. And be willing to debate with others that you disagree with. Debating them will make you better at understanding that topic and finding flaws.

The truth is out there waiting for you to find it.
